Dental Cleaning Reviews
"I have been coming to see Dr. Porvaznik (for my dental work) and Cindy (for cleaning) for years and even though it is now quite a trip for me -- I live in Anne Arundel County, Maryland, I am happy to make the trip because I feel like I am getting the best care I could possible get anywhere!"- M.F. / Demandforce / Jan 25, 2020
"This was the first time I was going in to get any sort of cleaning done in a while. On top of that, it was my first time going during these circumstances. The front desk staff welcomed me in a very warm way and made me feel super comfortable. I went in to get a cleaning and it was simple and easy. I didn’t feel any pain and I was treated to a complimentary Invisalign scan! My teeth look great, and I feel great. Dr. Ismayil and her crew are top notch and I’m definitely booking another trip back in the foreseeable future"- N.A. / Yelp / Oct 08, 2020
"I had a great experience at Ingber Dental as a first-time patient. It is clear they take COVID precautions seriously and are doing their best to protect staff and patients. The hygenist, Cindy, made the cleaning process as efficient and comfortable as possible. Dr. Ismayil is also great. I'd highly recommend them both. I've had issues finding a good dentist in DC, and I'll definitely be back to Ingber Dental."- A.K. / Google / Oct 14, 2020
"The absolute best. Ask for Cindy to clean your teeth. She has been doing it for almost 30 years and is super gentle but still gets the job done! All the Dentists are wonderful and informative. They are very careful in the time of covid but I’ve been coming here for almost 7 years and I’ve always been impressed."- A.V. / Google / Jan 11, 2021
"Like many people, I dread going to the dentist because of some horrible experiences I’ve had. But I have to say that my recent visit to Ingber Dental for my cleaning was one of the best experiences that I have had. My hygienist, Chanel was very thorough and very gentle. I actually felt myself relaxing. If I could have her as my dental hygienist for the rest of my life I will never miss another cleaning. Fantastic experience! I also had my exam done for the first time by Dr. Kaitlin Delaney. I appreciated her warm professionalism, the thoroughness of her exam and the fact that I didn’t feel like she was rushing between patients. Overall, a fantastic team and fantastic experience!"- M.F. / Google / May 19, 2021
The American Dental Association (ADA) suggests people schedule professional dental cleanings twice each year. Infants should get their first dental exam before their first birthday and after that, we will help you determine when your child is ready for their next appointment. A professional dental cleaning can prevent cavities since plaque buildup, the biggest cause of tooth decay, is removed. A professional cleaning will also address tartar and stains on the enamel. If you would like to brighten your smile, freshen your breath, improve your oral health, and save money in the long run, schedule a professional cleaning for your whole family at Ingber Dental.
What To Expect
Your dental cleaning will start by removing the plaque and tartar deposits on your teeth, which can be hard to treat on your own, no matter how often you brush and floss. Advanced tools are used to carefully scale buildup without harming the tooth. To start, an ultrasonic device loosens bigger chunks of tartar and plaque with high-speed vibrations and a lubricating mist. Then, a fine handheld instrument, like a curette or scaler, will be used to remove the remaining pieces. Each tooth needs to be scaled to get all the buildup. Once the teeth are clean, the enamel will be polished to strengthen the enamel and remove stains. If needed or requested, a fluoride treatment may be done after the cleaning.
Our dental team may suggest cleanings more frequently for some patients with concerns, like gum disease. During your treatment, we can help you come up with a home routine for good oral health by demonstrating techniques or recommending products that will address your needs. These can be very beneficial for your teeth, overall health, and wallet so make sure you schedule and go to your dental cleanings at Ingber Dental.
A professional cleaning is considered a preventive procedure so it is usually covered by dental insurance. Our office will contact your dental insurance to determine your specific coverage and then bill for any out-of-pocket costs. If you do not have dental insurance, please talk to our financial team about different payments we accept, including medical financing.
